At ParkClear, we believe street parking should be simple, stress-free, and transparent. Our journey began with a familiar frustration: trying to understand confusing parking signs and determine whether street parking was allowed. Parking rules and restrictions can make something as routine as finding a legal parking spot unnecessarily complicated. ParkClear was created to give drivers clear, location-based parking guidance and make street parking easier to understand.
HOW IT STARTED
The Spark of an Idea
It all started when our founder, Loan Nguyen, was driving through a busy city. Block after block, she found herself circling and trying to interpret confusing parking signs. There were plenty of parking apps for finding parking spaces, but no simple way to understand street parking signs and quickly determine whether parking was permitted. That frustration led to a bigger question: What if making a parking decision could be as easy as getting directions?
Driven to solve this universal problem, we gathered a team of engineers, designers, and parking experts. Together, we set out to create a solution that could instantly provide drivers with clear, reliable parking information. Our vision was simple: empower drivers to make quick, informed parking decisions without having to decipher complex signage.
